Custom Handicapped Elevator</span></h4> <p>Vertical Platform Lifts, popularly called the Handicapped Elevators, provide a safe means of vertical transportation for a handicapped person in a wheelchair together with an attendant.</p> <p>Vertical platform lifts typically require a 300 mm (12") deep pit. Bramalea Elevator Ltd. has developed a design that does not require any pit depth. This is a big plus for installation in existing buildings, as this design saves the activity of cutting the existing floor slab and pouring of a new concrete lift pit.</p> <p>In this design when the lift platform reaches to the bottom landing the lift platform is about 37 mm (1 1⁄2") higher from the floor level. A ramp is provided to bridge this gap.</p> <p class="fromDescription2">Brief specifications of a vertical platform lift are: </p> <ul> <li>Load capacity is 454 Kg (1000 lb)</li> <li>Maximum speed of 0.15m/sec (30 fpm)</li> <li>Travels up to maximum 7 meters (275")</li> <li>Platform sizes area is limited to 2 meter square</li> <li>Typical cab size:<ul> <li>875 mm (34 1⁄2") Wide x 1525 mm (60") Deep</li> <li>875 mm (34 1⁄2") Wide x 2260mm (89") Deep: for stretcher & casket use</li> <li>1041 mm (41") Wide x 1930 mm (76") Deep</li> <li>1220 mm (48") Wide x 1525 mm (60") Deep</li> </ul> </li> <li>Type C lifts are fully enclosed with minimum 80" high walls and a ceiling at top</li> <li>Operates on constant pressure push buttons</li> <li>A key switch restricts the usage of Vertical platform lifts</li> <li>A light fixture, battery operated alarm bell & emergency light are part of lighting and signals</li> </ul> <p class="fromDescription2">Other <strong>Custom Options</strong> available in vertical platform lifts are:</p> <br> <p><span class="mainTextBlue"><strong>Penthouse/Rooftop Elevator:</strong></span> This elevator provides dedicated vertical transport solution for a penthouse or for a rooftop from a level below. This elevator puts very low magnitude of load on building. Being a No Pit the hoistway shaft does not protrude into the floor below the hoistway shaft. As design is suitable for habitable space below, it also allows for lower floors to be fully operational.</p> <p><span class="mainTextBlue"><strong>Poolside Elevator:</strong></span> Humid, steamy environment of a swimming pool area demands an enduring elevator. Bramalea Elevator Ltd. provides the pool lift in superior 316 stainless steel finish for such jobs. Door, doorframe and all the door hardware is in stainless steel finish. Special concealed door closer are provided to minimize the impact of corrosion.</p> <p><span class="mainTextBlue"><strong>Handicapped Lift with extended load carrying capacity:</strong></span> Can be offered with load capacity up to 1136 Kg (2500 lb).
